OK guys, Hello to all. This is my first post one here. Thought I’d show a little bit of my work. It’s rough, but I like it and it serves the purpose I designed it for. I decided I needed to build myself a shop bench to pile more and more tools and materials on. This was the process I went through.

1- picked up some rough cut (that I was told to be cherry) for free. Can’t complain there.
2- grabbed some dimensional pine
3- found a ton of allthread, nuts, and glue
4- went to work.
5- finished up with some BLO

Towards the end I actually had some issues planing and wound up routering off the top of one of my slats. Had to cut a 1/2 inch veneer to fill the void. Can I even call that a veneer? who knows. All that matters is it worked and looked pretty decent. Had a blast and learned a lot about planing. still have a long ways to go. Hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think. I am open to all advice, criticisms, and praise.

Not exactly sure what youre saying. This is more of a toolbench/workspace I use for miscellaneous projects. Working on various car parts, guns, chainsaws etc…, however, it is very very close to being flat and it is level. If absolute perfection was not of the highest importance I would not hesitate to use this for basic woodworking projects. It’s pretty tall though by design so I can sit on a barstool while tinkering. It definitely serves its intended purpose.

Looks pretty robust and should do just fine.

First, I love the signature lol. Second, Beefy doesn’t begin to explain the heft this thing has. It doubles as a bomb/storm shelter. I dread ever having to move it again. I still haven’t recovered from the first time.

Looks like a solid build! Just finishing up a bench myself.
