34 Chevy Coupe in quilted Sapele, The challenge for this one is that I used veneer on the body parts so the individual parts had to be precisely cut and veneered prior to assembly. The grill is thin copper sheet bonded onto maple and cut into strips. I used upholstery nails for headlights. Painted the wheels. Interior has Amboyna Burl dashboard and side panels with brass instruments, but difficult to photograph. Thanks for looking!

Great Job Tim! I love the wood. I am glad to see someone else is incorporating metal into their projects.

Contrary to FH, I’ve always been in two minds about metal (foreign material) into these projects. The issue I see is when do you stop?... then, do you paint?... and how far before the entire model is painted?... (black tires and whitewalls permitted).
It’s like that time old argument… you cant be part vegan... but then again, I’m a total hypocrite, so please forgive.

Having crapped on, that windscreen looks bloody good!

Holy Moly!! absolutely beautiful….. I have that pattern. Starter is a couple years ago and it got put aside for other projects…. Now I do not know whether to get back at it or trash it… I certainly is not going to be as beautiful as yours….
