Just another roll tape storage solution for a french cleat wall. Nothing special here.

The build: Glue and screw two scrap pine boards together to form a 90deg angle. Attached square side supports to the 90deg angle piece ensuring that the corner of the 90deg angle faces the ground. Attach another scrap piece of pine board for the backing board.

I like the design, but I go back and forth between this a design which contains the tape roll in place so that you can use one hand to pull a piece of tape without removing from the holder. Don’t ask for a sample of this design because I haven’t found/made one that works the way I want yet, at least not without making it overly complicated.

I hear ya. I wavered on exactly the same decision for a while, too. I also considered just flat laying them on shelves.

I eventually decided that I most often prefer to take the entire roll of tape to my work—most of the time, I don’t know exactly how much I’ll need or I need more pieces than can be easily transported in one trip.
