I got an order for one muffin master so I made two from the one log. The business end is 2” wide and they are 11” long. They were on the lathe for a short time to turn the round part of the handle. They are made from pecan, finished with Danish Oil and then buffed and waxed.
Cheers, Jim

Look at those nice handles! I better not show my wife she will surely ask me to try and make one for her. I don’t have a lathe and I have never attempted to make a spoon. Maybe some day I’ll give it a try! Very nice work Jim!

Nice thin edge on the spoons Jim. I always end up with thicker lips. Nice piece of pecan

Thank you all for the nice comments.
Hi Dick…Yes these are spoons ..made specifically for mixing thick stuff!
Hi John/Eric, Yes , that is what I use one for…filling the paper muffin cups when making cranberry oatmeal muffins.
Hi Ivan, I routed the edges of the handles. I tried to turn those flat sections on the lathe to give a full round edge but I got some splintering off and if it went too far back, I’d ruin the spoon. I’ll start with thick wood next time and turn a full round handle and flatten it afterwards.
Cheers,Jim

The spoons look very nice though I’d not heard the term Muffin Master before.
