3-Pickle Nesting End Table (Cherry & Butternut)

Ran into 3 doofus issues on this one:
1) Forgot to consider metal expansion/overcontraction when welding the inner corners,
2) Cut the corners of the top smaller than the frame. To fix, I had to cut more corners.
3) Didn’t account for hardware under the couch…

..

Anyway, that’s how it goes sometimes and I’m happy with the result!

Stuff Used:
Top: 1.25” Black Cherry
Bottom: 3/4” Butternut
Steel: 1.25” rusty square tubing
Welder: AHP Alpha TIG 201xd – I’m a TIG newbie and this was a practice project (good thing!)

Turned out great. I had the same issue with hardware under the couch. I didn’t realize the couch legs were so wide. Limits where I can slide it in but keeps the kids from precariously balancing full glasses on the couch cushions.
