I made this urn for a friend of my wife’s with specific instructions that it had to have a rolling pin and golf club on top. The dark wood is walnut and the light wood is Birdseye maple the was 60 years old in 1954.

What a beautiful job you did, with a fascinating and miniature customization on the top. While urns are small in nature, I think they can be the most memorable and impactful pieces of woodwork given their significance.

I really like the contrasting colors of the walnut and maple. The rolling pin and golf club certainly add a personalized touch. I’d be curious to know what type of hinge you used and is there a lock? Good work!
