This is what I came up with to compliment my 1959 White. Again Lots of different types of wood. Door latch works like the real one. Went with 1/8” baltic for sides and doors. Scratch built

Love it bogie, great detail, and if like the ”hauler”, is a scratch build… bonus, however, no loss of bonus if not a scratch as it’s a scratch above a lot of others.

Have found in the past, and is now my mantra...

  • the more parts that move, the more parts I like to brag about,
  • the more parts I like to brag about, the more movements I demonstrate,
  • the more movements I demonstrate, the more parts that break,
  • the more parts that break, the more parts that I have to glue up,
  • the more parts I have to glue up, the less parts that move,
  • the less parts that move… why the hell did I waste my time… it’s a display, not a plaything.

Almost overwhelming, the attention to detail is stunning.
And this is a scratch build?
