The first big project I’ve attempted, the dining table for our new house. I’m pretty happy with it, and I think my wife is too, which is all the matters isn’t it? Cheap and nice was the goal here, 3 young children will beat on it. All box store 2×4s, 1×6s, and 4×4s. I discovered the Kreg Jig, which I’m now obsessed with. Definitely learned on this one, and access to some other tools would have made life easier at times! Ended up about 3.5ft wide by 7.25ft long, as was less than $300 to make, including the bench, paint, stain, and poly.

Well, I can build the table but I can’t upload the pictures.. most seem to have rotated or inserted upside down? I’ve retried uploading several times…. new guy here, is this a thing?

Update, I seemed to have fixed the photo issue..

Looks nice. With 3 kids a good choice. Once they all have graduated you and the wife can choose something fancy.
