I built this Hickory dresser for my boys.

I’m building custom cabinets for a house with the same style of cabinets, so I threw this into the batch. It just came back from the finish shop, with a nice lacquer finish.

Blum soft close undermount drawer slides.

Baltic Birch drawers

Very basic, but works well.

Good job, Pete! Looks like it’ll work well and stand up to boys using it.

Hickory has that huge variation in color that makes it great when used on larger pieces like this. Looks great, should last a lifetime and good call on the soft close!

Lucky boys, to have cabinets made for them, in an IKEA world.
Really fine work.
Best thoughts,
