I used my Shaper Origin to cut the heart shaped mortises and tenons, as well as the pieces and heart shaped opening in the top. The wood is curly maple and purple-heart. All of the .svg files were downloaded from the ShaperHub, so I can’t take credit for the design, but I thought that others might be interested in seeing what the tool can do.

Nice box with unique joinery.
Once you had your sides milled up, how long would you estimate that cutting the joinery with the Origin took?

That is cool, machine work. I would have to agree that it would be a hard decision to purchase. Maybe I am just old school here.

Beautiful box though.

Wow. I had not idea the shaper could do such fine detail as the heart pins. Nice box.

Thank you all for the kind comments. It was probably under an hour to cut the parts and do the joinery.

LOL I am working on my Heart Box! I modified the hearts slightly and I’m working at adding an inlay. SO make this project so simple. Thank you for posting
