I’ve been working on this for a while. The knife and the box will be a surprise gift for my life long friend. We’ve been best friends since Kindergarten in 73. Yes I’m old. The box is tiger stripe Maple. The corner splines, top insert and bottom insert are Bolivian Rosewood. Now to pack it up and ship it out on Tuesday.

Thank you so much everyone. I enjoyed making it. It has its problems but overall I’m pretty happy with it. I forgot to mention the hinges are Brusso stop hinges.

Wow very nice, he will be impressed. The inner wood really brings the box together nicely. Like the splines and even the way you created the placement for the knife. A keep sake for sure.
