This is the end result of the bowl I posted a while ago. The cracks were patched with 2 part 5 min(read24hr)epoxy mixed with powdered black dye. I was pretty certain I used equal parts of epoxy and hardener, maybe the dye screwed the curing time? I dunno. Sanded to 400G painted with black dye, sanded and added various layers of coloured dye..sanding between coats. Couple coats of spray lacquer and 4 coats brush on Varithane. Couldn’t stand the smell of the lacquer. I was able to flatten the bottom, but the rim has massive twists and turns. Thanks fer lookin.

Looks good and you saved it and I’m sure learned a lot.

Having turned hundreds of bowls I have lost patience working with problem pieces so good for you for you in sticking with it.
