Built this cabinet to store my DVDs. Made from 1 X 6 tongue and groove cypress, and used tin panels for the doors to match my kitchen cabinets. Six drawers that can hold a total of 700 dvds. Cabinet measures 16” deep x 40” wide x 48” tall. Drawers have separations made with 3/8” Mahogany plywood. Cabinet back is also made with 3/8” mahogany plywood. 3 coats semi-gloss polyurethane for the finish. That cypress is so beautiful when clear coated, I just can’t get myself to stain any of it!

Looks great. I known what you mean about not wanting to stain the cypress. I have been working with it quite a bit lately and I really enjoy the white halos around the knots. I find them mesmerizing.

I totally get leaving off the stain. There’s no need for it. Nice work.

That’s going to fit in well with that kitchen design you posted a few days back.
