Love to see some more photos of this gorgeous loco, especially of the detailing, thank you.

Since I m still new to this site, I m not sure how to add pictures so, I will start a new tread.

Gary

The train was modeled after the Virginia Truckee by a member of the Vectric Forum, which he allowed the Rhino file to be copied. His file needed to be enhanced to give it depth so it could be modeled and cut out of wood. I spent several more hours redoing it and segregating the parts so they could be imported into Aspire. Some parts were done on the rotary, some double-sided and some like the cow catcher was just a 2D cut.

Although I only showed a hand-full of pictures, there was a lot of other parts. The whole process took me a couple of weeks to accomplished.

Welcome to LJ, Papa’...

If you click on your own project, you’ll get the option to Edit your projects,

and you will be able to edit/change your project

just as you were creating it.

Alternatively, as pottzy mentioned, you can just add your upgrades/changes as comments… that way all people having tagged you project as Watch will get notified of your additions.

Having said that, if you edit the project to update it, I believe watchers will not get notified so if you choose that approach, may I suggest you post a comment saying that you have updated the body/picture-gallery of the project.

Being new here, in case you have issues with sideways picture, have a quick squizzy here .

BTW, what’s the software? I’m a SketchUp tragic…

No, it was just a capture using the snipping tool to show different parts made and from the RHINO file showing the wire frame and solid view of the Locomotive. This was a additional post to answer Crowie’s question.

Have your say...
