I made this walnut box to hold two bottles of champagne that I gave to friends to help them bring in the New Year. When the lid is lifted the necks of the bottles are raised. Their initials are routed into the lid, and my branding iron was used to brand my signature on the bottom of the box. I used my Shaper Origin to make the box joints, to rout their initials, and to form the parts that hold the bottles in position when the lid is closed.

Happy New Year.
Neat box.
Now if you could edit your post and tell us how the lid and bottle raising mechanism works the post will be complete. A photo or illustration will fill the bill.
