Well, I was finally able to share this with my Grandson. He just turned one and I was very excited for him to finally get to see it. It has been a secret the entire time I have been working on it. He was born 14 weeks early and only weighed 1lb, 12 oz’s when he came into this world and spend 94 days in the NICU. But thanks to God and the amazing skills He gave to the doctors and Nurses, Ollie is a healthy, growing 1 year-old who has a million-dollar smile.

The Jeep is made of walnut and soft maple. The drawing I shared was my first ideas drawn out while on my couch. I used it for rough dimensions and then did a more detailed drawing for me to work from. The Jeep rocks back and forth on a pivot arm under the frame. I had to learn a few new techniques but overall am very happy with the final product. Hopefully, he is too!

Now that’s one very different rocker, I love it sir.
Congratulations on the little blokes first birthday, very very special after a tough start. Blessings on him and his family for many years to come.

What a cool gift! One of a kind and I’m guessing it will be driven many miles! Thanks for sharing.
