Finally finished the dresser – WOOHOO!!!
Life really got in the way of finishing this, but it’s finally done! And I’m back in the shop again!
Wood is cherry and lighting really made a difference in how this looks in photos. First image is in natural light in the shop and the second pic is with the shop lights on (flourescent). The real coloring is somewhere in the middle of the two pics with the drawer fronts being slightly lighter than the case.
I modified the plans (3 in 1 crib & Dresser plans from Wood Magazine) in order to make 6 drawers whereas the original plans called for 3 drawers on one side and 3 shelves on the other.
Four year old grandaughter said it’s Beautiful!
Another happy customer!

Funny with the lighting it looks like two different dressers. Either way though they look great.

Well done there. The grain match across the drawer front is fantastic. Really great attention to detail. I’d love to see it in 5-10 years after it ages and becomes a deeper red. It will truly be amazing.

Does Lumberjocks have any way of filtering these bots, or are we on our own to block them one by one?
Sorry to clutter your post with this, but it’s frustrating.
I love the piece. I did a highly modified version of the Wood Magazine convertible crib a couple years ago when expecting my first granddaughter and also did a dresser/change table to match that design.
I love the cherry and considered it, but opted for maple because I was worried about the aging of the cherry leaving weird marks on the bed posts as it changed configuration from crib to toddler bed to double bed.

Thanks for the kind comments.
Calmudgeon,
I contacted the site administrator and they removed the post, without comment.
