Fooling around with a few different kinds of wood pieces that I bought. First box is a sapele box with an ambrosia maple lid and bottom. I really like the patterns on the top. Second box has a figured maple body with a lacewood lid. The figure on the lacewood did not pop as much as I hoped, but it is still interesting.

Both boxes made with hand tools only (except the resawing).

Thanks for looking!

Both are quite nice, simple, friction fit boxes made different by their woods. Matt Kenney would be proud.

Look great. I like boxes – doable in a reasonable time.
