Very very nice! Nice G&G style and contrast in wood types and clean joinery.

That is a nice box, I didn’t know that there was such a thing as curly redwood.
I need to spend more time on this website, there is so much to learn from you folks.

I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of the style but the lumber is beautiful as is the construction

The grain on that lid is fantastic. I would never have pegged it for redwood.

Very nice! I’m currently finishing up a guitar with a curly redwood top. Some of the best chatoyance you’ll see in curly woods is in redwood curl.

Very cool design, and the wood outstanding. Redwood is often underappreciated for its beauty. My first project posted was made from salvaged redwood fencing material. Well done.

Thanks RStad, @RStad. These “reclaimed” Redwood pieces were cutoffs from a deck build, 12 – 18 inch pieces of 4×4 and 2×8. My sister bought an old house and found them stacked in the corner of the basement. I’m guessing the deck was built about 60 years ago.

Very nice job building this beautiful box. I love the horizontal grain which is complimented by that extraordinary lid.
