Built in summer of 2018 to welcome my son to our world. Frames are made of black walnut and were finished with Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil. Stub tenon joinery was used. Slats are hard maple and were prefinished with General Finishes Arm-R-Seal prior to assembly. Material choices were inspired by Matt Cremona. The front and rear (long) frames attach to the side (short) frames with a product called Striplox Mini 60 joiners.

A beautiful piece! I love the black walnut paired with hard maple. It’s a striking combo. You should show us some build pictures if you have any.

Amazing! Love the contrasting woods! What a comforting and solid place for your son to sleep. The joints are amazing. I love the legs with the maple sandwitched in the walnut. Looks like an oreo (i’m getting hungry)... Well done! This will turn into a family heirloom for sure!
