Tablet Stand

This is a tablet stand made from curly maple. The upright part is housed in a groove in the base and the supports were added for strength.

Finished with Tride & True w/beeswax

This started out to be a kitchen counter top recipe book stand but it ended up not working. I will make another with three changes.

1) Increase the height of the front rail
2) Increase the space between the front rail and the vertical piece
3) lower the angle of the vertical piece

It’s a beautiful tablet stand. The Recipe book stand 2.0 sounds like it will be very functional!!

I think that is an amazing tablet stand. Could you post some dimensions, I seriously. Would. Like. To copy your tablet Stand. The workmanship is excellent and you design is super.

Both the base and the vertical/slanted piece are 9”x12”. The thickness is 1/2”

I don’t usually work to measured dimensions. I kind of go by eye and what looks good.

You already know what I think of your design/craftsmanship. Clean. Well exicuited. Thanks for sharing.

What is the angle between the base and the support for the book? Looks like 35 deg?

45 degrees. I also made the supports only 1/4”. I think it looks better

Have your say...
