I made this step stool in my high school woods class. I used hickory for the wood. I used a CNC router to engrave a moon with three stars in the top corner and ILY (I love you) in the bottom corner. We used biscuit joints and pocket holes to hold the stool together. For a finish, we put three coats of a water-based finish with Polyacrylic Gloss. I made this stool for my mom for her birthday.

Very nice work and a great looking stool. Make one myself in shop class some 65 years ago, it is still around and used as will be yours. Something that will last.
