Leather strap cutter
make your own.

This is basic leather tool you can buy, but so easy to make, that anyone can make one, so I decided I wanted to make my own.

This post is from the blog:

1. Leather strap cutter in use.
2. Making it.
3. Stanley blades.
4. Width adjuster and blade holder.
5. Starting a cut.
6. Strap made.

Hope it can be to some inspiration, or even some straps.

Best thoughts,

I have enough leather straps to last me quite awhile. Interesting quick gadget if you need one.

Just came back from the tannery, picked up some scraps, like your stripe cutter may have to copy:)
Wonder how it will work with soft leather?

Hi there,
Dave Polaschek, Big smile thank you, I hope it will be.
doubleDD, I never know what size I need, so cut when I need. Thank you.
pottz, you are so right, I don’t know how to do that, for good and for bad. Smiles thank you.
Ivan, less is all you need here. Thanks.
swirt, Thank you swirt.
muesli, Killing It Softly Sweetheart laughs. Always enjoy when we can share. Thank you.
lew, I had the most wonderful day with my daughter yesterday, today with my mother and tomorrow with my lover, so it is a wonderful Christmas, thank you. Wishing it back to you and yours.
Andre, I can imagine the soft leather is hard to control, so you should clamp it at one end so you can hold it firmly. Thank you. Make one!
Best of my thoughts and Merry Christmas to you all,
