This is a step stool I made in woods one this year at my High School. The material is walnut and I burned it all then put a clear coat that was water-based polyacrylic over the top of it. I made the design with a CNC Router. The design is my name and a Pronghorn because I like to hunt.

Interesting choice to go with a shou sugi ban type finish on walnut. That should help make it more water resistant. I like it!

Your Step Stool Looks great. I remember making one when my oldest daughter had a pair of twins and I made a stool for them.

Be proud of your stool and welcome to the “World of Woodworking”. I’ve been doing it for about 60 years.
