I made a step stool at Wahoo high school for shop class, It is made out of cherry. We made it completely from scratch and used a CNC router. I engraved my name on the top. then we put 4 coats of polyacrylic. we put it on every part of the boards. it took around 2 months-ish

Your Step Stool Looks great. I remember making one when my oldest daughter had a pair of twins and I made a stool for them.

Be proud of your stool and welcome to the “World of Woodworking”. I’ve been doing it for about 60 years.

I like that you incorporated the sapwood from the cherry into the project. I really like the contrast on a piece like this!

Good job Carter, liked the grain on the end piece. Made one in shop class nearly 65 years ago. Still around and used as will be yours.

Good job working with the cherry. The stool will be around for a long time.
