I made a step stool out of hard maple wood. I made this step stool in my woods 1 class at Wahoo High School. We used 1/2 thick wood. For the pieces we needed to connect, we used pocket hole joints and biscuit joints. We used many types of tools such as a planar, a table sander, and a drill. We also created a design in the CNC program and had the CNC machine engrave it into our board. The design I created was my last name with a BMW e30 below it. We finished the project by coating the whole thing in a water-based polyacrylic gloss.

Solid build. Great job on the finishing prep work. Looks like you got all of the milling burn marks sanded out. The finishing process is what makes a good project into a great project and you made a great project.

The edge joint for the side looks nice. Grain matches closely and the symmetry is good.

Great looking stool and the top is excellent. The workmanship and time spent show making a good looking project.

Very nice. Border on step is nice touch.

Suggestion: Round corners to prevent it barking your shins in the dark.

Great looking border etch, that’s a nice touch.
