Here at Wahoo High School, I made a step stool. I chose walnut wood to make my stepstool. The CNC design my board has is my last name in the center and a border around it. We used a CNC router to cut the designs into our boards. And we used pocket holes and biscuit joints to hold my stool together. The finish we put on our boards at the end was water-based polyacrylic gloss.

Your Step Stool Looks great. I remember making one when my oldest daughter had a pair of twins and I made a stool for them.

Be proud of your stool and welcome to the “World of Woodworking”. I’ve been doing it for about 60 years.

Great looking stool. The result of good workmanship and time spent. The top is outstanding. Made on in shop class 65 years or so ago, it is still around and used as will be yours. A+ for the class I hope.

Nice job. Looks great. That border made great use of the CNC.

Glad schools are still helping introduce wood working to the younger generation. Excellent finish and design Meg.
