Island Stool with Maloof joints

This is Charles Brock’s Island stool design. I purchased the plans and CD from Charles and they worked great. I must have watched that CD over a hundred times. Lots of firsts for me: Maloof joints and power sculpting with the Kutzall grinding disc. Finally got the hang of spokeshaves as well when making the legs.

Cherry seat and stretcher. Maple legs. I was going to give the original Maloof finish blend a try but sealed it with shellac early on. I was worried it wouldn’t soak in properly so I decided to stick with blonde shellac and wax.

Excellent Build!!!
Very cool process pics and the design is outstanding.
I really like the three-way joint with the loose tenon. This really turned out great!

I am just starting the Charles Brock build. Did you write up any instructions? I am thinking I will make a set of instructions and wondered if you felt that would have been helpful.
