For Christmas our Son & Daughter-in-law asked my wife and I to buy our twin 12 year old granddaughters a bunk bed set and the bedding on Amazon.com for their 18” American Girl Doll’s.

I told them that I would make them one instead.
So I made each twin one each but they think they are only getting one; they’ll be surprised I hope!

The joinery is all mortise and tendon’s and I used mostly cut off left over pieces of wood laying around the shop to build them.

I wasn’t going to post these because they are painted but my Buddy Pottz told me I should and if anyone didn’t like them so be it! Thanks Pottz! I stand with you!

Thanks for looking in!

Tony, those bunk beds turned out fantastic. So much better than store bought!! Your granddaughters will love them especially since grandpa made them.

Thank you, Ivan, Tony, Lee and Pottz!
Pottz you certainly are inspiring! Thanks buddy!

Because of Covid 19 my wife and I can’t be there for Christmas when they open the their gift’s. I sure hope our son and daughter in law take plenty of photos to capture the expressions on their faces when they open the box! The twins get so excited when it come to opening gifts! We miss them so much.

Merry Christmas everyone!

What great christmas gifts.

If you have an iPhone and can do FaceTime with your grandchildren then you can be there virtually when they open the presents. We FaceTime with our kids who can be with us.

Holy smokes Alex! I totally forgot that we can do that! Thank you so much for reminding me! I’m sure our kids would have said something when that time came! LOL! But now I won’t look like a dummy and won’t have to claim that I’m just getting old! Hahaha!
Thanks for the nice comment!
Merry Christmas!

Nice job! I made something similar, though nowhere near as elegant, years ago for my daughter’s dolls. I also made a single years before that for my Neice’s doll.

You do realize that since you did such a good job on them, that the next project could be a full sized set for them. Excellent job !!! Mel
