Check out this shop made project designed specially for my truck and needs.

After seeing the prices of the commercial versions of these gadgets, I decided to make my own while adding some flair and a few of my favorite woods. (Walnut, maple and king wood). It’s more fun to make something like this anyway. My first thought is, .....it’s kind of clunky but the more I look at it, it’s really art! :-)

You may notice the original design and dimensions were measured for a front cup holder. Once I put the stem and the phone holder in, they would have interfered with the radio controls! So….. Design Modification needed. I then made a new one for the cup holder near the console compartment.

This episode features some new music so sit back and have a nice visual and audio experience.

Very cool. What holds the phone in the holder?

NY Rocking Chair. I glued on another piece on the original side red pieces I showed gluing up. These hold the phone securely.

Nice!! I just saw a company that does nothing but these, but in plastic. Could be a new business opportunity Bob!!

Pretty clever, and cooler than plastic.
