I completed this lamp about a year ago, and a fellow LJ-er pointed out that I hadn’t created a project page for it, so here it is. The full build is blogged here.

The lamp is a rough replica of one that popped-up when I was googling for mid-century modern lamps. It’s attributed to Alder Design in Boston, MA in the 60’s, but I could find very little else about the lamp.

It’s mostly anigre, with a small block of cherry for the center hub at the bottom. Finished with Odie’s Oil. It was a fun little project with a few challenges mixed-in to keep it interesting.

Beautiful lamp, Ross. Really like the graceful curve of the legs.

That is a great looking lamp. Love the peacock shade on it too. Well done.
