Found a piece of laminated pine. I couldn’t cut out the splits so I included the marks so they would be part of the toe-cap. Pine is nice to carve but the sap is devastating to my sanding drums!
Finished with a French polish mixture I bought at Lee Valley Tools.
Merry Christmas to all!

Truly incredible, as always.
Y’know, it would be so cool if you would also document, both by photo and by text, the process you go through to get to the incredibly detailed and beautiful boots at the end. I know I’d be fascinated to see how you get that detail and beauty to show.
Thanks for sharing.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU TOO, Have not had a chance to try out the snow blower yet. Most of what we got in November has melted, but freezing today.
Nice boots.
