My very young grandsons are getting their new room decorated with an “Outer Space” theme. They are very excited about this and I volunteered the planets as my contribution. It’s really not much of a wood working project (cutting mostly disks out of plywood; Saturn was the exception, and laying out the oval ring wasn’t very easy, but the end result proved passable). Finish is acrylic paints – a very relaxing project that I really enjoyed doing!

That is one great idea. I wish I had something like that when I was a youngster. You also did a great job on the painting of them. I sometimes feel so old that I don’t think all the planets were discovered yet when I was young. LOL. Great job !!!! Mel

Nicely done, very nice paint job. Should add a great touch to the room theme, even though it was a simple project it is one that will bring joy to the grandkids which is the best result.
