built mostly using scraps from the woodpile; leftover 1/2” mdf, 1×2 poplar, and leftover spruce shiplap for the top.
had some issues finding the proper partial wrap hinges for an inset frameless door, but finally ordered them from a cabinet company. primed, painted the body, then sealed the top with 4 coats of poly.
with 2 strong magnetic catches, she can’t open the door by herself – so no locking mechanism needed.
added power in the side at the back behind the drawer but, unfortunately, the outlets are too close together and i can’t plug in the router and alexa together…bummer…
lessons learned: toss the mdf!!! and figure a plan to attach the top BEFORE installing drawer slides :/

This is really cool. I wish our dog was smaller so I could make him one. Nice work.

This is a good-looking table. I am torn between “So cool!” and “OMG puppy prison with bars”. She is a cutie, and looks quite comfortable. I assume you mean network router and not a wood router :) I love building stuff from scraps.

Nice project. As a dog lover, I know they feel comfortable in that space.
