First time using Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy. Worked pretty good on maple. When i glued up one of the legs, i left a 1”x1” void in the middle to conceal the power strip cord down to the floor outlet I installed. Most of the joinery is half lap or similar and it very sturdy.

Yes everything is maple, but used their dye before finishing with black charcoal finishing oil.

The finish is excellent. Nice work on the joints too.

Wonderful! I love the Maple, the black, the joinery, everything. It’s a great piece. I’d love it as my desk. Thanks for sharing.

Nice form, looks like a rock solid build, and as I age I am getting quite the appreciation of a painted, stained, or dyed darker base over a natural light colored wood top. It seems to fit in with any decor.
