Icon of 1897. I restored a little and made a new frame from a hundred-year-old oak. I am very amazed at the beauty of the colors. There are no signs of fading (loss of color), old age is felt. Hats off to the masters of that time …

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Yes, she is 123 years old. Chromolithographic printing house of D. Plyushchev. Odessa city 1897.
Now this technology is not used. Several stone slabs were cut by hand, then paint was applied to these slabs and printed in turn. This is a very time consuming and complex process.

The photo is not high quality …. I was shooting with my old cell phone. (as always in a hurry …. LOL ….)
In the vicinity, it is mesmerizing …. Each feature of the face and shape are visible. The colors did not fade …..
I made the frame for glass, but glass does not allow making a good photo.

On the reverse side, inscriptions in the Old Church Slavonic language are clearly preserved.
Even the street where the printing house was located is indicated – Srednefantanskaya street. Fantanka, mentioned in many old songs.
