Had these sitting a few weeks. Finally had time to do them today.

Here are two Diamond Cast Zen pens, for a couple of women who work hard behind the scenes of Para-Church organization. One of the things I try to do is gift church workers/preachers/missionaries, a high quality hand made pen. In thanks for their hard work and sacrifice.

10K Gold Zen with Blue Macaw Diamond Cast
Chrome Zen with French Quarter Diamond Cast

Pictures just don’t do these Diamond Cast Justice.

Can you share what pen kit this is? Also, how do you get the body so lean and straight?

These are both Zen kits from Craft Supplies USA

They have three different plating’s for this style of pen.

As to lean and straight. Funny you should say that, because this is the only pen style I will do straight. I like some curvature to every other pen. But this style just cries to me… straight.

For one, all I can say is practice helps… I keep an eye on the cut and I watch the top line of the barrell/spindle…

After roughing down… I use a rounded 1/2 inch skew chisel and use it mostly as a scraper. Here is a webpage of the type of skew I’m talking about…

Hope this helps

Got to thinking… did you mean the kit or the blank you wanted information on?
