Christmas Nesting Trays

3 trays that nest one inside the other. The darker two are made from Quarter sawn oak and the lighter is Domestic Cherry. Dovetail joinery made with a Porter Cable Dovetail jig.

Sweet—nice choice of woods. And the satin or semigloss finish really makes them popl I imagine most people have seen quartersawn oak, but do not really understand what it is. Since the trays have exposed endgrain, you can educate those who ask!

Nice! I really like the choice of woods and the use of the dovetails. ( of course, I’ve not successfully made any myself YET)

They look great! I like the one in the 3rd pic, the contrast really works.
