I picked up this little Craftsman/Rikon 10” Benchtop Bandsaw to dedicate for scrollwork and decided to build a stand to bring the table height up higher than my 14”. It’s basically just a box built from 12mm Baltic Birch with an 18mm top and the base is made from 2 pieces of 12mm glued together. To make it less top heavy and more stable in use I added 60lbs of sand in the base.

I made the mobile base from some 8/4 stock I had laying around and more on that here..

BTW, a simple solution I used to determine the most comfortable table height for scrolling was “mocking” a cut on my drill press table and raising/lowering it until I found what worked best for me which was 43”.

Great solution. Having it mobile is always a bonus.

Good tip on the mocking idea. Drill press can be so helpful.
