Poplar with copper and crushed obsidian inlay

I made this bowl out of poplar and inlaid crushed obsidian and copper. It is my first project using an inlay accent.

Looks fantastic!
The inlay turned out really great.
The poplar has some interesting tones to it too.

Looks nice. What color stain did you use.

Thanks! No stain, sanded to 1500 then used “shine juice” which is equal parts denatured alcohol, shellac and boiled linseed oil. Then steel wool and paste wax.
