Peruvian walnut jewelry box

As the title says this was a little jewelry box I made for my wife. The box is mostly peruvian walnut with the little drawers made from sycamore. The wood was left overs from a school desk we made my son. The drawer pulls are actually brass door hinge pins that were cut off. I used small magnets to keep the side wings closed. Finished with boiled lindseed oil and paste wax.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks, it is not as large as it appears. My wife doesnt have much jewelry either, just a few really nice pieces. The box is only 8”wide x 7”tall x 5” deep

Fantastic work! I like the swinging necklace doors myself, very nice touch!

Very nice work!
My wife has started to ask for one.
Did you line the necklace doors with velvet or something? They look great.

Thanks,

No, the necklace doors are not lined with anything. I did make a small well at the bottom of each door so any necklaces that are too long won’t end up pinched when the door is closed.
