Well ,as I said this was my first try to do something like this… I do the math… lot of research… ..60 degree cuts… and this is what came out. When I started, I didn’t expect too much,so I didn’t want to waste too much material and that was maybe first mistake. After making 60 degree cuts I was 1 stripe less then I needed,so that’s how I came with this pattern. At the end,in my opinion, board didn’t been wide enough,so I add from both sides stripe of wenge.
Made some mistakes but also learned a lot and if I try this pattern again I know where I need to be careful :)

First try? Looks super! Perfection is overrated anyways, and I am sure anybody would be proud to have such a product you made. Keep up the great work :)

I like it.
The wenge stripes are a nice touch visually too.
Great job.

I’ve made a lot of these and I wish the first few of mine had come out as good as yours. Well done. Check out MTM Woodworking on you tube to get more ideas. He does some great instructional videos on 3D boards.

Yes,I’m following his work for a quite long time now…he’s a real deal when it comes to 3D cutting boards. He make big influence on me, that I can say he’s the biggest reason why I started making cutting boards :)
