This is the first project for my new grandson. A baby rattle.

The proportions get out of whack when your first priority is making sure it won’t get swallowed.

Oak and mahogany. Howard’s butcher block conditioner and carnuba wax. 2” x 4” long

Hairy, congrats on the new grandson. He probably won’t be able to use that rattle for a few months, but I bet it will be passed around for years.

You commented on my last post and I responded with something I wanted you to see. I wasn’t sure you would see it, so here it is again.

Thanks hairy. I’m working on a new project and came across this defect in the wood I am using. I promise I didn’t create this, it was nature made.

To me it looked like your avatar and I thought of you immediately. I didn’t alter this in any way, I guess I’m easily amused.

awsum, sorry about not getting back to you about that.

It almost reminds me of my old avatar. I know you’ll do something awesome with it.

I hope that’s just a passing phase, that’s a big burden for a little fellow.

Great Work Hairy!!!! I like the design very much. Very appealing to the eye. A child would love it. Your Grandson will Rattle the Daylights out of it.

Great Picture Too.
