Another unique and interesting order from lady who is making home made aromatic hard soaps. First round of 52 beech plates 12×8x2cm, finish wood oil. Edges rounded with 2mm radius router bit. I cut crossed grooves on both sides, on tablesaw, just ’’hair’ higher than half thickness. Laser engraving was done by my bussines partner who owns laser printer.

Looks like she gave you some work and your work will help her business. Good trade off. I would like to see them packaged up also.

I’m waiting for the uncensored bathroom pictures too!

Hey maj welcome to the world of lasers... you’ll need to line up and get baptised though.
Nothing against your pyro, but those engravings look classy.

Even tho this would appear to be such a simple design, its not really all that simple ..many choices in shape and material and texture. Good work!

I’m curious about your choice of wood. What comes to mind is cedar or similar outside favorable wood. Also, why not a dish grove? Please not criticism, just your thought process. There are reasons for this piece. Like your 3 groves for the inevitable soap mush drainage seems obvious ….but maybe you did them for another reason, not apparent to me?
