Project Information

My wife requested I build her a desk since COVID has created a shortage of desks available to purchase, and everyone in our household is working/schooling virtually. My inspiration is taken from the traditional arts and crafts style and I added a few of tweaks of my own. The joinery is mostly dowels to keep the build time to the minimum (love my Dowelmax) and the finish is Rubio Monocoat Smoke 5%.

Also, I built this using my QSWO "scraps" and I had to add a "bowtie" to stop a crack forming on the table top.

Size: 48 width x 22 depth x 28 height (my wife is 5'2")

Nice design and implementation. A good classic desk with the dutchman thrown in for visual interest.

Excellent craftsmanship aside, you have a great eye for design. That's a classic.
