Frame to match

Finished up a little poplar frame for the hallway bathroom that was remodeled this summer. Used the same edge profile as I did on the mirror frame and then the same paint as well. Did a primer coat and then did some “artistic” brushstrokes with the black on top of the grey primer. Husband liked it so left it with that one coat.
(Picture may be changed…view of an Oregon coast sunset from the view of my dog, as noted by the ears and top of her head :))

Agreed with the “wide” look and the finishing paint strokes are an excellent touch!

(love the “dog-cam” effect 8^)

Thanks – the wide frame is doable with my Incra sled. What a difference in accuracy!
Dog cam….haha…our dogs are a big part of our life!

Thanks.
Questioned the finish but ended up liking the look to play off the mitered corners.

That’s a nice frame, Barbara. The finish gives it a little something without overwhelming the art that’s in the frame.

Thanks Dave. I figured if my little paint experiment didn’t work out, I could just start over. That’s the nice part of making something for at home – no paying customer to please…just the family.

Came out fine. I really like the finish and color. It matches the mirror.
The photo is beautiful!
