This press has a 12-1/2” square press area made from Cherry with a Maple backbone. All hardware is stainless steel. The hinge end is spaced 1/8”. Finish is six coats hand-rubbed Watco Butcher Block Finish followed with a coat of Carnauba/Beeswax/USP food Grade Mineral Oil. I used Titebond 3 for all glue joints.

I think I see a Pizza Peel Project in my future!

Really like the finger joint idea- very strong.
