Another simplified Shaker clock minus the hinged front panels – I’m not good enough the build that cabinetry yet. Maybe after a visit to the Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, KY this fall I’ll have more confidence to push into that level of expectation. Made from White Oak and finished in Amber Shellac. The framed image next to the clock is an Autochrome, an 1930’s photographic process invented by the Lumiere brothers.

Nice clock, the lines, and the face are as Shaker as you can get, don’t sweat the fine details.

If you haven’t been to Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, KY you are in for a treat. Staying over is also great if you’ve a chance, but the rooms fill up quick. Not sure how Covid affects them as we haven’t been down this year, but it’s one of our favorite places. Make sure you can get a meal, they make eating fun.

I’m going up on Oct 23rd to catch the foliage and the whole Shaker complex. I will post some pix when I get back…
