My mother asked for a shadow box to display our hotair balloon pin collection. She wanted something simple to hang on the wall. Being that I cant do simple I came up this. Its ash with a tempered glass top.

Do these signify festivals you have been to? Are you ballooners?

Looks as if you have a few pins. Probably best to have them as you did, might be tough to wall hang. Do you have an average of what they weigh?

geez, she asks for a wall display, and you do a table… I can see the logic… lol.

nicely done, did you tell her you were doing a table instead?

My parents were into ballooning since before I was born(1977ish). We never owned a Balloon but had many friends who did. We have probably been to well over 30 fiestas and rallies. No idea on weight but a wall mounted display would of been tough.

Lol. I wanted to do something special for her since it was my last project in my old shop. I knew she would like it and she loves it.

Great looking table and I really like the way you did the corners. Great job. Mel

LOL “I can’t do simple” Story of our lives isn’t it?

Hell of a job & idea! Love the corners with the walnut dowels.
