I recently finish playing ground for my kids. Took me forever to finish it since in the same time I was doing other things on my yard.Finnish summer is too short :) This kind of playing grounds cost here between 600€ and 900€.
I done it with a budget little bit less then 500€ and it’s way more durable then those I could purchase on Finnish market. All lumber is pressure treated and heat treated wood that came from my working place and other accessories I order from Jungle Gym store.
The most important thing is that kids like it and enjoy playing at yard.

Nice little project, great job on the savings.

I did one for me kids years ago, they loved it and so did all of the neighborhood kids. FYI, anchor the legs of the a”A Frame” it will start to move and lift as they swing higher. I drove a 2’ piece of 2×4 in the ground at the foot and bolted the legs to it. Safety first when it comes to the kids, and adults in the shop too.

Eric * I didn’t anchor A frame because I use 4×4 for legs and upper part is also a peace of 4×4. When it was done I test it by myself ,with my 100+ kg :) , and there wasn’t any moving. I will follow and keep my eye on it,thanks for pointing me and sharing your experience. Cheers
